The existence of our department in the Faculty of Political Sciences which is established in 1859, begins at 1960 by the “Social Policy Chair” founded by Prof.Dr.Cahit Talas.
Undergraduate students recieve “Labour Economist” title by graduation from the faculty. Labour Economics and Industrial Relations Department carry out graduate programmes in addition to undergraduate programme. There are four sub-disciplines and one research center, which are undermentioned, within the department.
